History
Kamanohana Station opened on 1 September 1935 on the Shimabara Railway Line, 9.6 km from the line's origin at Isahaya. It became an agency-managed station on 1 March 1962, lost its freight handling on 31 March 1964, and was made unstaffed on 1 May 1964. It is a ground-level station with a single side platform serving one track on the south side of the line; a waiting room set against the middle of the platform on its south side houses the station entrance, and an uncovered bicycle parking area sits in front. The station remains unstaffed and is operated today by the third-sector Shimabara Railway.
