History
The station opened on 21 January 1926 on the Kakamigahara Railway as Ichirentai-mae Station. It went through Kagamihara-Undōjō-mae (1938), Undōjō-mae (1949) and Kagamihara-Hikōjō (1960), and in 1965 its reading changed to Kakamigahara-Hikōjō, before it became Kakamigahara-Shiyakusho-mae on 29 January 2005, with renaming costs covered by Kakamigahara City. A station-management system arrived on 6 March 2007 and Tranpass on 14 March 2007, with the south building rebuilt on 28 March 2007 and later winning a city townscape award. The north building was completed on 5 December 2008 and manaca service began on 11 February 2011.
Notes
Although news reports at the time described the change as being to 'Kakamigahara-Shiyakusho Station', the name actually adopted on 29 January 2005 was 'Kakamigahara-Shiyakusho-mae', with the suffix -mae ('in front of') on the city-hall name.
