History
Kabatake Station opened on 17 June 1921 as a station on the Kawanishi Line of Ueda Onsen Denki Kidō, in what is today the city of Ueda, Nagano Prefecture. With the March 1939 line-name change the station was reassigned to the Bessho Line, and it then passed through a series of corporate successions: Ueda Maruko Dentetsu in 1943, Ueda Kōtsū in 1969, and the present Ueda Electric Railway in 2005 on the spin-off of the rail division. The station building was rebuilt in 1990. It has been an unstaffed halt with a single side platform since it opened, and received the station number BE07 with the August 2016 introduction of station numbering on the Bessho Line.
Notes
Kabatake Station has been unstaffed since it opened in 1921, and consists of a single ground-level side platform serving one bi-directional track. It stands beside the Organ Needle company's factory, between Terashita (BE06) and Daigaku-mae (BE08) on the Bessho Line, and handled an average of 46 passengers a day in fiscal 2015.
