History
Jōtō Station opened on 10 November 1928 as Ikkemachi Station on the Jōmō Electric Railway in what is now the city of Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture. The station was renamed Jōtō on 10 April 1994. It remains an unattended halt with a single side platform serving traffic in both directions on the Jōmō Line, situated 0.8 kilometres from the line's terminus at Chūō-Maebashi.
Notes
Jōtō Station has no station building at all: the platform simply carries a bicycle parking area, and the station is unstaffed throughout. The nearest bus stop, Jōtō Ekimae, is served by Nagai Transport's east loop services running to Maebashi Station.
