History
Jōshin Station opened on 27 November 1981, when the Nagoya Municipal Subway's Tsurumai Line was extended between this station and Fushimi Station. It became a through-station on 6 September 1984, when the section from Shōnai Ryokuchi Kōen Station to this station opened. Use of platform-edge doors began on 23 December 2024. It is located at Jōsei 4-chōme, Nishi-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, an underground station with opposed platforms serving two tracks, and its station number is T04. It is an operational hub station of the Tsurumai Line: crew changes take place there, and the last up-direction train of the day terminates there and is moved empty to Kami-Otai Station the following morning. Platform 1 has an east ticket gate and platform 2 a west ticket gate, with the platforms connected by a passage beneath the tracks. It is administered by the Tsurumai Line Operations Division.
