Location

History

Izu-Ōkawa Station opened on 10 December 1961, coinciding with the opening of the Izu Kyūkō Line. It is located in Ōkawa, Higashi-Izu, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture, and carries station number IZ07. Ticket window service ended on 30 September 2015, after which the station became unstaffed. It is a ground-level station with two opposed platforms serving two tracks; because it uses a single main-line-through arrangement in which Track 2 serves as the primary line in both directions, passing trains generally use Track 2 regardless of direction. IC cards such as Suica can be used, but no card-charging machine is installed.

Notes

A foot bath fed by the Ōkawa Onsen hot spring is installed in front of the station; there is no full bathing facility, but the foot bath can be used to pass the time while waiting for a train.
