History
Ise-Hatta Station opened on 23 July 1931 as a station on the Sangi Railway Sangi Line, in Higashimura, Hokusei, Inabe, Mie Prefecture. It is a ground-level station with an island platform serving two tracks plus one freight main-line track, and a level crossing within the station grounds connects the station building on the south side of the tracks to the platform. A long-capacity siding yard spreads out on the east side of the grounds, used for adjusting freight-train schedules, train crossings, and freight-car storage. The station is numbered S12; although the surrounding area is farmland, the vicinity of the station itself has a relatively high concentration of houses and other buildings.
Notes
The road running west of the station is the Junken Kaidō, dating from the Edo period, which crosses the Sangi Line at grade at the level crossing within the station grounds; near the crossing stands the only inn remaining along the line.
