History

Inuyamaguchi Station opened on 6 August 1912 as part of the Inuyama Line and served as the junction with the Hiromi Line from 24 April 1925 until 1 March 1946, when the Hiromi Line's start point was moved to Inuyama. The station became unstaffed on 16 November 1969. Station improvement work was carried out through January 2004, and the Transpass ticketing media (SF Panorama Card and Yurika) became usable there on 15 February that year. Semi-express stops began with the 27 December 2008 timetable change. Manaca IC card service began on 11 February 2011, and Transpass service ended on 29 February 2012.

Notes

Although the station is only one stop from Inuyama, the distance between the two is so short that the Inuyama arrival announcement is sometimes played aboard downbound trains while they are still passing through Inuyamaguchi.
