Location

History

Inonada Station opened on 5 April 1928 on what is now the Ichibata Electric Railway’s Kita-Matsue Line, in the city of Izumo, Shimane Prefecture. The unstaffed station lies 19.4 km from the line’s terminus and is served only by local trains. It consists of a single side platform serving one bidirectional track, with a simple shelter on the platform and no station building. Lake Shinji and Japan National Route 431 lie nearby, and in 2019 the stop saw an average of 56 passengers a day.

Notes

The station served as one of the principal filming locations for the 2010 Japanese film “Railways”.
