Location

History

Inari-machi Station is a Hiroden tram stop in Minami-ku, Hiroshima, opened on 23 November 1912, the day the Main Line opened between Hiroshima-eki-mae and Kamiyachō. The original stop stood about 100 meters west, at the eastern end of a tram-only bridge over the river; today's site was then a separate stop, Kin'ya-cho, closed in 1942. Service paused after the 6 August 1945 atomic bombing, resuming that October. Around 1950 a road-and-tram bridge replaced the crossing, moving the stop onto the former Kin'ya-cho site. On 3 August 2025 the Main Line's rerouting added two more platforms, and the 28 March 2026 Circular Route reopening made it a four-platform junction on the Main Line, Hijiyama Line, and Circular Route.

Notes

The stop's current site was once occupied by an entirely different station, Kin'ya-cho, which closed in 1942 before Inari-machi was relocated onto its former grounds around 1950.
