History
Inamuragasaki Station opened on 1 April 1904 on what is now the Enoshima Electric Railway (Enoden) Main Line, in the Inamuragasaki district of Kamakura. It stood east of its present site in the 1920s and cycled between single-track and passing-loop configurations — its platform still low and streetcar-like around 1930 — before moving west, gaining a higher platform and a ticket gate, and settling on the present single island platform with a passing loop. Accessibility upgrades, including a ramp, were completed in 2017. On 17 March 2024 the station became unstaffed; tickets, IC fares and contactless payments are now handled at automated equipment.
