History
Ina-Chūō Station opened on 22 December 1983 as a station on the Saitama New Urban Transit Ina Line (New Shuttle) in Ina, Kita-Adachi-gun, Saitama. It is an elevated station with one island platform and two tracks, station code NS11. The Suica IC card became usable on 18 March 2007, and lifts entered service on 14 March 2019. On 21 November 2020, following the previous day's land readjustment under the Ina central area land-reorganisation project, the station's address was updated from Ōaza Komuro to 1-chōme Chūō. Although the station sits more or less in the geographic centre of the town of Ina, it is somewhat removed from the town's actual urban core.
Notes
The 36th parallel north runs through the station precinct; other stations in Saitama Prefecture at almost the same latitude include Okegawa, Takasaka, Myōkaku and Chichibu.
