Location

History

Imagawa Kappa Station opened on 1 October 1990 as a station on the Heisei Chikuho Railway's Tagawa Line. It is located at Ōaza Nagarezue, Yukuhashi, Fukuoka Prefecture, and its station number is HC28. The station's name comes from a legend of a kappa (water sprite) associated with the Imagawa River. From 1 April 2009, under naming rights, it carried the nickname "Hoken Hiroba Yume Town Yukuhashi-ten Imagawa Kappa Station," but by April 2022 the contract had ended and it reverted to Imagawa Kappa Station. It is an unstaffed, ground-level station without a station building, with a single side platform serving one through track. It is connected to the outside by stairs and a ramp, and is barrier-free.

Notes

The station's name derives from a kappa legend associated with the Imagawa River, and several nearby facilities are built around a kappa motif.
