History

Ikenobe Station opened on 30 April 1912 as a station of the Takamatsu Electric Tramway. It became a station of the Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad's Nagao Line through a company merger on 1 November 1943. It is located in Ikenobe, Miki-chō, Kita District, Kagawa Prefecture, station number N10. It is an at-grade station with one side platform and one track, with no station building; the station entrance faces a level crossing. Before IruCa compatibility, the station was unstaffed except during the annual "Miki-chō Ikenobe Tanabata Festival" held on the first Saturday and Sunday of August, when a temporary ticket booth was set up as a makeshift hut, staffed by Kotoden employees.

Notes

Before the introduction of the IruCa contactless card, Ikenobe operated unstaffed, but Kotoden staff manned a small temporary ticket hut at the station on the first Saturday and Sunday of August each year to serve the Miki-chō Ikenobe Tanabata Festival.
