History
The station entered service as Dentetsu Ichiba on 28 December 1951, when the Ao Line was extended between the stations now called Miki and Ono. The present name, Ichiba, was adopted on 1 April 1988. Located in the city of Ono, Hyōgo Prefecture, the station sits 23.9 kilometers from the line's Suzurandai terminus. A single track runs past one ground-level side platform, long enough for four-car trains, alongside a prefabricated station building. Where a freight siding once stood west of the station, the Ichiba Railway General Facility was completed on 1 November 1990. No staff are stationed there; a trackside optical network lets a center station operate its equipment remotely.
Notes
Shintetsu rolling stock is now delivered to the adjacent Ichiba Railway General Facility by truck from Kawasaki Heavy Industries' Hyōgo Works, rather than by the rail-based "kōshu yusō" transport once used as far as Sanda Station.
