Location

History

Hirata Station opened on 1 October 1997 as an intermediate station on the Tosa Kuroshio Railway Sukumo Line, at Henai in Hirata-chō, Sukumo, Kōchi Prefecture — station number TK45. Its simplified contract staffing was withdrawn on 1 April 2004, and the station has been unstaffed at all times since.

Notes

Hirata is the gateway station for the village of Mihara, just south of Sukumo, and every 'Ashizuri' and 'Shimanto' limited express calls there. It is an unstaffed elevated station with a single side platform 112 m long, reached by a flight of steps and an elevator. The Mihara Village Bus also serves the 'Hirata-eki' bus stop in the forecourt, and Enkō-ji Temple lies about 2 km away.
