History
Higoshi Station opened on 10 November 1928 as part of the original Jōmō Line built by the Jōmō Electric Railway Company, an interurban operator linking Chūō-Maebashi with Nishi-Kiryū across Gunma Prefecture. Located in the Higoshi neighbourhood of Maebashi, the unattended station is 9.9 kilometres from the line's western terminus at Chūō-Maebashi. It has remained a small station with a single side platform serving traffic in both directions since opening, and is still operated by the same private railway company today.
Notes
The station's name is written 樋越 and read Higoshi.
