History
Hayashi Station opened on 19 November 1956 as a passenger-only unstaffed station on the Jōhana Line. It passed to JR West at privatisation on 1 April 1987. The original waiting room was rebuilt in late 2019 due to age, and ICOCA became available on 14 March 2026.
Notes
Hayashi is an unstaffed halt on the Jōhana Line with no station building at all: a wooden waiting room stands on the single side platform, which is entered from a gate beside the Ōura level crossing at the Jōhana end. The platform is long enough for a four-car train, though the stop averaged only about 21 boarding passengers a day in fiscal 2019.
