Location

History

Harborland Station opened on 7 July 2001 with the inauguration of the Kobe Municipal Subway's Kaigan Line, located underground between JR Kōbe Station and the Hamate Bypass. The concourse and ticket gates are on the first basement and a single island platform serving two tracks is on the second basement, with exit 2 linked directly to the underground Duo Kobe shopping arcade. Patronage has lagged far below the 25,832-rider daily forecast made when the line was planned, sitting at roughly 30% of that figure.

Notes

Handprints and footprints of babies born in 2000, gathered through a public call just before the Kaigan Line opened, are displayed at each station on the line; those at Harborland include the prints of future professional golfers Ayaka Furue and Yuka Yasuda.
