Location

History

Hagure Station opened on 2 April 1903 as a station of the Jōbu Railway. The station name derives from the place name Hagure, written 破崩 ("collapsed cliff"). It became a station of the Chichibu Railway through a company name change on 25 February 1916. It was unstaffed on 12 March 2022 with the introduction of the PASMO IC card; before that it was a contracted-operation station managed under Yorii Station. It is located at Sueno, Yorii, Ōsato District, Saitama Prefecture, and its station number is CR21. It is a ground-level station with an island platform serving two tracks and retains a wooden station building. One platform-less holding track is provided, used for holding freight trains. The Arakawa River in front of the station forms Lake Tamayodo, created by the Tamayodo Dam.

Notes

The station name's characters, 波久礼, are an ateji (phonetic substitution); the name originally derives from 破崩 (hagure), meaning terrain where a cliff has collapsed.
