Location
History
Gonosan Station opened on 1 October 1924 as a station on the Bisai Railway, in Nishihonda, Gonosanchō, Yatomi, Aichi Prefecture. It became a station on the Meitetsu Bisai Line when Nagoya Railroad acquired the Bisai Railway on 1 August 1925, and was unstaffed by 1 November 1948. A new station building was constructed in 2008, and a centralized station management system was introduced on 14 March of that year. The manaca IC card came into use on 11 February 2011, and the station now operates as an unstaffed station with a single side platform serving one track.
Notes
At an elevation of about -1.9 meters, it is said to lie slightly lower than Kintetsu Yatomi Station, and is also the westernmost station in Aichi Prefecture.
