History
Gakunan-Fujioka Station opened on 20 December 1951 as a station of the Gakunan Railway. Operation transferred to Gakunan Electric Train on 1 April 2013. On 21 August 2021 the "Gakutetsu Locomotive Square" exhibit opened in the station yard, displaying four electric locomotives — ED291, ED501, ED402 and ED403 — that had previously hauled freight on the line; at the same time the station gained the subsidiary name "Gakutetsu Kikansha Hiroba-mae". The station is unstaffed and has an island platform serving two tracks.
Notes
The four electric locomotives displayed in the 2021 "Gakutetsu Locomotive Square" exhibit were re-painted to their freight-era liveries, and the cooperating preservation society raised the pantographs against intentionally de-energised overhead wires to recreate the original working appearance.
