History
Fuminosato Station opened on 27 November 1980 on the Tanimachi Line, on the date the line was extended from Tennōji to Yaominami. The station stands in Shōwachō, Abeno-ku, Ōsaka, and was built as the replacement for the former Fuminosato tram stop on the Nankai Hirano Line, that light-rail route having been superseded by this segment of the subway. Operations passed from the Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau to Osaka Metro on 1 April 2018. Platform-edge doors were installed on 6 December 2025.
Notes
Fuminosato has a turn-back siding on the Yaominami side, and on weekdays in the 8 and 9 o'clock hours and between 17:00 and 22:00 trains both originate here and terminate here, including services towards Miyakojima and Dainichi.
