History
Fuda Station opened in 1917 on the Keiō Electric Tramway's Sasazuka–Chōfu section, at the line's crossing with the old Kōshū Kaidō highway; the Keiō company's own records do not preserve the month or day. The station was relocated to its present location on 17 December 1927. On 4 March 2007 the station building was moved from its former underground premises to a temporary overbridge building as part of the Chōfu-area grade-separation works, and on 19 August 2012 Fuda was relocated underground together with Chōfu and Kokuryō. Station number KO17 was assigned on 22 February 2013.
Notes
Since 14 February 2020 the station's train-approach melody has been the song "Itsudemo Yume o", after the Nikkatsu film of the same name, which was made at the Nikkatsu Chōfu Studio, for which Fuda is the nearest station.
