History
Enshū-Kobayashi Station opened as Niihara Station on 6 December 1909 and was renamed Enshū-Kobayashi on 1 April 1923. It became unstaffed around 1974, and the station building was rebuilt around November 1982. In 2007 a bicycle parking area was newly built on the east side of the station and a station rotary was laid out on the west side. Between June and October 2008 the platform and station building were rebuilt and made barrier-free. On 13 October 2011 the section between this station and Enshū-Shibamoto Station was elevated as part of the grade-separation project for the Hamakita–Tenryū Bypass of National Route 152. It is now an unstaffed station on the Enshū Railway Line (station number ET15) with one island platform serving two tracks.
Notes
The station's official name is "Enshū-Kobayashi," but on-board announcements omit "Enshū" and simply announce it as "Kobayashi Station."
