History
Enokimachi Station opened as a station on the Tateyama Railway on 19 March 1921. It was abolished once on 18 August 1936, then reopened on 5 September 1938, becoming a station on Toyama Chihō Railway's Tateyama Line through the 1943 company consolidation on 1 January. In March 1950 a new station building was completed for students commuting to Oyama Junior High School. It is a ground-level station with a single platform serving one track, an unstaffed station with a wooden station building, though attendants are posted during the weekday morning rush. Located at the edge of Tateyama Town's urban area, it continues to operate as an intermediate station on the Tateyama Line.
Notes
Although the station is named Enokimachi, it is actually located in Maezawa, Tateyama Town, not in Enoki, Tateyama Town, where the neighboring Shitadan Station stands.
