Domeki Station opened on 11 February 1914. Operations were halted from 25 June 2001, and the station reopened on 20 July 2003 as an Echizen Railway station, continuing as part of the Katsuyama Eiheiji Line, where it is numbered E15. The unstaffed station consists of two opposed side platforms connected by a level crossing and serves a small cluster of houses in Eiheiji.
