History

Doida Station opened on 6 March 1930 as a station on the Iyo Railway's Gunchū Line. It is the first station with passing capability on the Gunchū Line coming from Matsuyama City Station, and the timetable is arranged so that trains pass each other here during daytime hours. Barrier-free construction work was completed on 25 July 2015. The station has an island platform serving two tracks at ground level and is staffed. The station building stands in line with the extension of the platform, and passengers pass through the ticket gate and then cross a level crossing to reach the outside. Its station number is IY26.
