History

Daiyamukō Station opened on 2 January 1917 as Daiyamukō-Imaichi Station, in what is now the city of Nikkō, Tochigi Prefecture. It was renamed Daiyamukō in 1919, closed in November 1927, and reopened on 1 March 1931. Operated today by Tōbu Railway, it is served by the Tōbu Kinugawa Line and lies 0.8 km from the starting point of that line. The station was destaffed from 1 September 1983, and station numbering was introduced across all Tōbu lines on 17 March 2012, when Daiyamukō became TN-51. In 2017 the platforms received protection from the national government as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties.
