History
Daimon Station (Aichi Loop Railway, station number 05) opened on 31 January 1988 when the Aichi Loop Railway began operations, in Daijuji, Okazaki, Aichi. The platform was extended from two-car length to four-car length in FY1989. The station became staffed (gate operations only) on 8 December 2003, ticket sales began on 16 September 2008, and a stair roof was added on 31 October 2008. The TOICA IC card began on 2 March 2019.
Notes
Daily ridership at Daimon has continued to grow and is approaching the 3,000-per-day threshold that would trigger statutory barrier-free obligations; in 2018 Okazaki City began acquiring land to relocate the forecourt rotary so that an accessible platform can be built clear of any future double-tracking, although double-tracking itself has not been confirmed.
