History
Chiku Center Station opened on 3 December 1992 in Yūkarigaoka 4-chōme, Sakura, Chiba Prefecture, as a station on the Yamaman Yūkarigaoka Line. It is an elevated station with a single platform serving one track; the only way from ground level to the platform is by stairs, with no elevator, escalator, or restroom installed. It connects via a pedestrian footbridge to the adjacent multistory parking facility "Y Park Sky Plaza Mall," and the area around the station is a bustling district with large shopping centers and commercial streets. A facial-recognition boarding system, "Yūkari PASS," was introduced at the ticket gates on 15 June 2024.
Notes
The only way up from ground level to the platform is by stairs; there is neither an elevator nor an escalator, and the station itself has no restroom.
