History

Bizen-Katakami Station opened on 25 March 1958 as a Japanese National Railways station on the Akō Line, in the city of Bizen, Okayama Prefecture. With the 1987 privatisation of JNR the station passed to JR West. It lies 31.0 kilometres from the terminus of the line. The station consists of one side platform and one island platform serving three tracks, and is unstaffed. In fiscal 2019 it averaged about 150 passengers per day.
