History

Bingo-Mikkaichi Station opened on 25 April 1930 as Mikkaichi Stop on the privately-built Geibi Railway. The Geibi Railway was nationalised on 1 June 1933, at which point the stop was promoted to a full station and renamed Bingo-Mikkaichi. It became part of the Sanshin Line in 1936 and the Geibi Line in 1937. With the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987 it passed to JR West. The unattended ground-level station has a single side platform and only a small waiting room; although the track is level, the platform sits well above the small surrounding hamlet.

Notes

In fiscal 2019, the JR-West passenger report recorded an average of just one boarding per day at Bingo-Mikkaichi.
