History
Bell-mae Station (F16) is a Fukui Railway Fukubu Line station in Hanandō-Minami 1-chōme, Fukui City. It opened on 1 October 1989 as Hanandō-Minami Station and was renamed Bell-mae on 15 April 1993 after the adjacent 'Shopping City Bell' shopping centre. On 25 March 2010 it was promoted to an express stop. The station has a single side platform with a prefab shelter and a ticket window staffed during 10:00–15:00.
Notes
Bell-mae exists primarily to serve a shopping centre: it was opened to make Shopping City Bell more convenient for its customers. Bell provides 50 park-and-ride spaces, reserved for holders of a Fukui Railway commuter pass or coupon ticket who also buy 3,000 yen of Bell shopping vouchers.
