History
Atsuta Jingu Nishi Station is an underground station on the Nagoya Municipal Subway's Meijō Line, in Atsuta-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. It opened on 30 March 1974 under the name Jingu Nishi Station, lies 24.4 kilometres from the Meijō Line terminus at Kanayama, and provides access to nearby Atsuta Shrine. The station was renamed Atsuta Jingu Nishi on 4 January 2023. Two opposed side platforms are arranged underground, and the station carries the identifier M27.
Notes
Because crowds for Atsuta Shrine's hatsumōde and Atsuta Festival exceed normal staffing, a temporary ticket gate without automated barriers is opened on these occasions; the day-to-day faregates have been unstaffed since April 2018, monitored remotely by intercom.
