History
Ashiyagawa Station opened on 16 July 1920 with the Hanshin Kyūkō Electric Railway's (later Hankyu) Kobe Line, in Ashiya, Hyōgo Prefecture; it remains the only station on any Hankyu line within Ashiya. The station building was rebuilt in 1957. The Great Hanshin earthquake of 17 January 1995 closed the station, with Kobe Line service restored in stages through to full reopening on 12 June 1995. Station numbering HK-10 was introduced on 21 December 2013. The at-grade station has two opposed side platforms, which straddle the Ashiya River on their east side, with the station building on the west bank.
Notes
Ashiyagawa is the only station of any line in the Hankyu network that lies inside the city of Ashiya.
