Location

History

Anagawa Station opened on 12 June 1991, a station on the Chiba Urban Monorail Line 2 located in Anagawa-chō, Inage-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, with station number CM07. The IC card PASMO became usable on 14 March 2009, and restroom renovation work (conversion to Western-style toilets) was completed in January 2021.

It is an elevated station with two opposed side platforms serving two tracks, with elevators installed at both platforms as barrier-free facilities. There is one ticket gate, on the north side (toward Chishirodai), fitted with automatic ticket gates and ticket vending machines. From the concourse there are two exits to the east (north and south, exits 1 and 4) plus one elevator, and two exits to the west (north and south, exits 2 and 3) plus one elevator.

The station is built on the assumption that a branch line toward Inage and Inage-Kaigan stations may be constructed, with a structure allowing for the later addition of a switch toward Sports Center Station, a grade separation near Tendai Station, and extra tracks further outside the current tracks and station building.

Notes

Anagawa Station's structure was designed on the assumption that a branch line toward Inage and Inage-Kaigan stations might be built, allowing for the later addition of a switch toward Sports Center Station, a grade separation near Tendai Station, and extra tracks further outside the current tracks and station building.
