Location

History

Amaya Station opened on 7 August 1999 on the Aizu Railway Aizu Line, 7.8 rail kilometres from the line's starting point at Nishi-Wakamatsu. Set at Miyauchi in the Ōtomachi district of Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima Prefecture, the unstaffed stop has a single side platform serving a bidirectional track and no station building — only a shelter beside the platform, with National Route 118 running nearby. Requests for a station here dated back to the Japanese National Railways era, and it was built on land created by farmland-consolidation work.

Notes

In fiscal 2016 the station's average daily ridership was just 3 passengers.
