History
Aina Station was established at Aza Shimizu, Aina, Yamada-chō, Kita Ward, Kobe City, Hyōgo Prefecture, on 28 December 1936, when Miki Electric Railway opened its line between Suzurandai and Hirono Golf-jō-mae stations. It became a station of Shin'yū Miki Electric Railway (now Kobe Electric Railway) through the merger with Kobe Arima Electric Railway on 9 January 1947. It is a ground-level station with two opposed platforms serving two tracks; the line is double-tracked from this station to Nishi-Suzurandai Station and single-tracked toward Ao, and trains can pass each other here. A siding was newly built on the Ao side of the station when trains terminating and reversing at Nishi-Suzurandai were introduced in the timetable revision of March 2017. Its station number is KB43.
Notes
In the Aina Tunnel between Aina Station and neighboring Kizu Station, a new tunnel came into use in August 2003, but the old tunnel still exists and can be seen on the left side when traveling toward Ao.
